I’m Just a Mom …Have you ever felt like saying, “Hey, I’m more than a Mom,” when answering that proverbial question about what you do for a living?
Do I sound selfish for wanting to be more than just a Mom? Isn’t raising the next generation important enough? Nope. My heart longs for more and I’m proud to stand up and say …I’m Not Just a Mom, even if it causes conflict.
I have four fabulous children, ages 10, 8, 6, and 4: three boys and one girl. Their names are Charlie, James, Ben, and Ava. They keep me real busy and I’ll be the first to admit that managing a home while raising children is really hard. Oh, and let’s not forget nurturing a marriage … it can all get very overwhelming.
That’s exactly the reason why I need my projects. My heart longs to save the world. Does that sound over the top? Yep. I want to start the Hydrogen Revolution and clean the air and water of pollution. I want to clean the oceans. I want to eradicate HIV and stop AIDS. I want to teach people how to grow healthy crops so our children can eat good food instead of growing drugs. I hate drugs and the damage it does to our society. I want to put an end to all wars, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan.
How exactly am I going to get all of that done? Love is the answer. I’m not an overly religious type of gal, but I do believe in God and what is written in the Bible. It’s written that Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Matthew 19:26
God is love. Lately, I’ve been talking to God and if you know anything about me, that’s a really big deal. Love. That’s the key to everything. Did God tell me? Not directly. But, I believe. Call me crazy.
I’ll be sharing my wild ideas when I blog or you can read my book, The Code of Destiny, the first book in the “CODE” trilogy. You can see my busy life in The Interrupted Workout video …a workout video for moms who constantly get interrupted. I’m still figuring out the whole Twitter thing. If I have to say something in short concise thoughts, here it is: Love. For now, though, I’ll stick with blogging and writing books. See, I have volumes to say about love! Love can end wars, clean oceans, heal the sick, and feed the hungry. Try love.
Also, I will be documenting the forgiveness process. I write a lot about forgiving one another in my books. But, how exactly would one go about forgiving somebody else? In all honesty, I've spent the last two years worried that my readers won't understand the forgiveness process. Have I clearly documented the process in my books? I don't think so. I've written a new trilogy, which I call the "CORE" trilogy trying to explain the process and I still don't think I've done a good job. So, I will be blogging the process ...step by step.
By the way, the CORE trilogy should be coming out soon! I've written the first two books, The Core of Knowledge and The Core of Change. I'm headed to a writing conference in Sedona to finish the third book in the CORE trilogy, The Core of the Soul.
